Procurement Manager (f/m/d)

Financial development cooperation for the Central and West Africa region

We offer a diverse range of tasks

• With an eye for detail, you not only plan and structure tendering and award processes and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the rules. You also prepare and regularly review tenders for consulting services or supplies and services within the scope of Financial Cooperation projects.
• For this purpose, you will both continuously cooperate with the portfolio managers and technical experts of KfW, as well as support the project partners and implementation consultants. In this way, you will also make a decisive contribution to the success of the project on site.
• If KfW is acting on its own behalf or as an agent in the awarding of consulting contracts, you structure tenders, carry out house-wide coordination and take care of the conclusion of consulting contracts. In case problems arise, you will of course be familiar with the appropriate solutions.
• On top you will actively contribute to knowledge management by participating in networks and working groups and by further developing procurement practice together with colleagues against the background of existing guidelines and regulations. In doing so, you proactively identify opportunities for standardization and increased efficiency.

Your profile

• Completed master’s degree, preferably in administrative or economic sciences, law, engineering or a comparable qualification. 
• Several years of relevant professional experience and comprehensive knowledge of procurement procedures, preferably in the context of development cooperation.
• Preferably regional and sector knowledge in key funding areas.
• Knowledge of FC instruments and procedures is advantageous.
• Fluent in business German, French and English is mandatory.
• Extremely precise working style and strong organizational skills.
• Due to your resistance to stress you will remain calm and confident even when faced with high and diverse demands.
• Communicative and interpersonal skills that come into play in a challenging work environment with a variety of stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Your networking style of work allows you to produce transfers and promote knowledge management.
